Charlie Walsh’s Black Rock debut

Charlie Walsh's strong sense of line is evident in his remarkale drawings.

A colleague of mine, Charlie Walsh, is known for his columns in the Connecticut Post, and it’s no secret he was a pretty fancy doodler if armed with a pencil and notepad.

But not everyone appreciated the depth of his talent or the extent of his portfolio. In December, the Gallery at Black Rock, owned by his daughter Eileen, gave Charlie an opening to celebrate his exhibit there.

It was an overflow crowd. Everything on the walls sold. I even bought two items.
